Two Doors, Two Vestibules, Zero Arguments
Every two-person tent looks fine in the store. The test comes at 2 a.m., when one person needs to get out and the other person is directly in the way. It comes again at the end of a wet day, when two pairs of muddy boots have nowhere to go except inside with you.
The ALPS Mountaineering Chaos 2 Person Tent answers both problems with a simple layout: two doors and two vestibules. Both sleepers get their own way in and out. Both sleepers get their own covered space for boots, packs, and gear that has no business in the sleeping area.
Built to Pitch Fast and Hold Its Shape
The Chaos 2 uses a free-standing, one-continuous-pole design. You can pitch it, lift it, and reposition it before you commit to a single stake, which is exactly what you want on a rocky pad, a crowded site, or ground that turns out to be harder than it looked. The 7000 series aluminum poles keep the structure light enough to carry on a trail overnight and stable enough to trust when the wind picks up.
Weather protection starts at the seams. The fly and floor seams are factory-sealed, which helps keep rain and splash outside where it belongs. Mesh roof vents move air on mild nights to help limit condensation, and they open up the sky when conditions let you leave the fly off.
- Free-standing, one-continuous-pole design for simple setup and easy repositioning before staking
- Two doors, so both occupants have independent access
- Two vestibules for covered boot, pack, and gear storage outside the sleeping area
- 7000 series aluminum poles for a lightweight, stable support system
- Factory-sealed fly and floor seams for added weather protection
- Mesh roof vents for airflow and stargazing with the fly off
- Two-person capacity, Blue and White colorway
