Water skiing with my mom

Some of my fondest memories of my childhood growing up are about learning to water ski on Lake Arrowhead in Southern California. My mom, a very experienced water/snow skier herself, would float in the water with me to give me company, help me get up, and provide coaching. Meanwhile, my sister was in the passenger seat of the boat holding the "skier in the water" flag, and my dad drove the boat. When I would get up, we'd ski a lap and circle back for my mom. She was always so thrilled to see me get up. Nowadays, we still enjoy water skiing as a family.
