I decided to try urban hiking, thinking it’d be a simple way to get some fresh air while exploring the city. No big mountains, no steep cliffs—just the urban jungle, right? Well, it wasn’t quite as “easy” as I imagined.
I started off, cruising through streets and alleyways, dodging pedestrians, and wondering if I’d even break a sweat. But then I hit a set of stairs—seemingly innocent, but they just kept going, up and up, like an endless mountain climb. By the time I reached the top, I was winded and questioning every decision I’ve ever made.
Next came a series of steep hills, where I learned that city inclines have a way of making you feel like you’re summiting Everest. My legs were burning, but I pushed on, determined to conquer this "urban peak."
By the end of the day, I realized that urban hiking is way more challenging than I thought—and the views from city rooftops? Totally worth it.
Ever tried urban hiking? What’s your favorite city trail?
