New to Grouse Hunting

I'm fairly new to an area where ruffed grouse are abundant and grouse hunting is one of the main attractions. I've hunted other upland birds species, such as pheasant and chucker, but I know every species brings their own challenges. I plan to try my hand at it this coming season.

Any tips or advice for hunting grouse? Where do you like to go? Where do you have luck finding grouse? Do you have a preferred shotgun? Any tips are welcome!
