Decided to play tennis at Rocky Mountain National Park, because nothing says "great idea" like trying to rally at 10,000 feet. Spoiler: it was less Federer vs. Nadal and more me vs. the wind… and the wind won.

First serve? Instantly boomeranged back at me. Every lob turned into an escape attempt. At one point, the ball took off over a ridge and is probably enjoying a scenic hike somewhere.

Then came the wildlife interruptions. A curious elk wandered onto the “court” (a.k.a. a flat-ish patch of dirt), stared at us like we owed it money, and refused to move. No ref, no rules—just pure chaos.

Final score? Wind - 6, Elk - 4, Us - DNF (Did Not Find the Ball). Would I do it again? Absolutely. But next time, I’m bringing a net that doesn’t double as a parachute.

Anyone else played tennis in a dumb location?
