Okay, the title was a little dramatic. I know how to swim. However, I'm not a swimmer....do you know what I mean?
I always joke that I "swim for survival." Like I can swim; I'm not going to drown, but I don't know any strokes, and I don't know how to be efficient about it. I spend a lot of time on the lakes near my house, but it's mostly just jumping in and swimming back to the boat or shore, or lounging in the sun on a tube. I think it would be super cool to start adding swimming to my exercise regimen...I just have no clue where to start!
What is the easiest way to get into this as a sport or hobby? Any swimming athletes out there with some advice?
No advice to give, but I am in solidarity with you! Like you, I can survive in and around water, but I'm generally just a bad swimmer and don't have a lot of confidence. Since I moved to a lake, I'm definitely passionate about getting better this summer! Can't wait to see what tips we can get here!!
