The Two-Skip

Are you a skier or snowboarder? Have you heard about the two-skip?

In the skiing and snowboarding world, there is a fairly well-known superstition about never saying "This is my last run" out loud. It's just bad juju to say you're about to hit one last run before calling it quits for the day - a recipe for a broken bone, if not worse.

For this reason, I grew up calling the last run "the two-skip." Two more runs, skip the last. Riding in different areas of the country, I've heard many people use similar terminology. Have you ever heard of this? And if so, what do you call it?
