Spent the weekend at the sporting clays range, working on my shotgun accuracy and reaction time. It’s always a humbling experience—some stations feel easy, while others remind me I still have plenty to improve on!
One of the biggest challenges was hitting the crossing targets at high speed. I had to really focus on my lead and follow-through instead of just pointing and shooting. After a few adjustments to my stance and grip, I started breaking more clays consistently.
Also took some time to pattern my shotgun with different loads—always eye-opening to see how spreads change at varying distances. Whether it’s for hunting or competition, nothing beats a solid day of shooting and getting dialed in.
Who else loves a good day at the range? What’s your favorite shotgun sport—trap, skeet, or sporting clays?
