The Grand Tetons Are Perfect for Cycling
I've cycled all over the Midwest and the West. One of my favorite spots for road cycling is Grand Teton National Park. Here's my recommendation for making the most out of your bike excursion:
We rode through Grand Teton National Park on our Ebikes, starting at Moose Junction early in the morning. The multi-use pathway offered incredible views of the mountains and forests - perfect for taking pictures. The morning light was starting to hit the peaks, creating a stunning landscape.
Jenny Lake was our first major stop. The trail winds next to the lake, with the Teton Range right in front of us. We were careful to follow park rules - staying in a line, wearing helmets, and watching for wildlife. We saw a few elk in the distance, grazing against the mountain backdrop.
Two Ocean Lake Road was the most challenging part of our ride. The dirt trail had some rough sections that pushed our cycling skills. We took our time, stopping to take photos and absorb the changing landscape. The trail moved from dense forest to open prairie, with wildflowers scattered along the route.
By the end of the day, we'd covered about 30 miles - an easy trip for an Ebike. The ride gave us a chance to experience Grand Teton in a way you can't do from a car. Definitely worth the effort.
