I just bought a Mammut Gym Classic 9.5 mm x 40 m Non-Dry Rope. It's my first ever purpose-built rope for indoor climbing.
Normally, I take an old outdoor rope, clean it, and chop off the ends to about 40 meters to transform it into my gym rope.
I am looking forward to trying out the new Gym Classic rope and will follow up with a little bit of a review when I have some data points.
In the meantime, does anyone else have indoor-specific ropes they like?

First Impressions:
I've been climbing on the Mammut Gym classic for a few weeks now. Here are some first impressions:
- feels good in the hand: the 9.5 diameter feels sleek and smooth. The rope feels easy to operate both as the climber. And it takes knots well.
- feels good in the belay device: I exclusively use a Grigri indoors. So far, the Gym classic has felt responsive and predictable in the Grigri.
- perfect length: the 40-meter length is perfect for my gym. (I imagine 40 meters is perfect for a lot of gyms). I can lead and lower off the tallest routes and have plenty of extra rope.
- it came inconveniently coiled: Mammut packaged this rope in circular "mountaineer" coils. While this is easy for a machine to do, it's trickier for the user. If you uncoil the rope incorrectly, you end up with A LOT of twists. I took the time to do it properly and it still had some twists.
I will circle back with a longer-term review later. Happy climbing!
