I recently had one of my best indoor climbing sessions at Momentum Indoor Climbing in Salt Lake City. I’ve been stuck on V4s for a while, so I made it a goal to finally send a V5. The problem was a mix of crimps and a dynamic move to a sloper—right in my weakness zone!
After a few falls, I focused on better body positioning and keeping tension through the core. The breakthrough came when I committed fully to the dynamic move instead of hesitating. That moment when I stuck the hold and finished the climb was pure satisfaction!
Indoor climbing has been a game-changer for improving my technique and strength. Who else remembers their first V5 send? Any tips for getting better at slopers?

Any tips for getting better at slopers?
Whenever possible– stay low. The more body weight you can put on the sloper, the more secure it'll feel.
