Who's Got Some Tips for Frisbee Golf Beginners?
Tried playing frisbee golf last weekend, and let's just say… it did not go well. I figured, how hard can it be? Just throw a disc into a basket, right? Wrong. My throws either veered way off course, landed ten feet in front of me, or smacked into the nearest tree.
Meanwhile, my friend—who swore he "wasn't that good"—was casually sinking shots from way farther out. It was fun but also kind of frustrating watching my discs wobble all over the place while everyone else made it look easy.
I know there's got to be a better way than just randomly chucking the disc and hoping for the best. Is it my grip? My stance? The way I throw?
If you've got any tips—especially for a total beginner—I'd love to hear them. How did you guys improve when you first started?
If you are going to try and keep playing, get yourself a slow or medium-speed disc. These are also referred to as "mid-range" or "putt-approach" discs. They won't fly as far as high-speed "drivers," but they are much more user-friendly and behave more like normal frisbees.
