Let's talk about all-time favorite flies and why! Some flies only make sense at certain times of the year. Some only in certain parts of the country. But some just feel right...all the time.
Everyone's "go-to" is different. Mine, you ask? Well, mine is the Orange Humpy.
What's so special about the ol' orange humpy, you ask? It's a nice, high-riding visible fly that floats like a cork. It's versatile enough to be used by fishermen of every skill level, while also being delicate enough to entice the pickiest of trout. I've tried this fly in several different waterways around the country, and I can say with certainty that it imitates enough different bug species accurately enough to be efficient in the North, East, South, and West. Versatile, easy to use, and....a fun name. What's not to love about the Orange Humpy??
Tell me...what's your go to fly?
