Rachel Carson Nature Preserve

I stumbled upon the Rachel Carson Nature Preserve while on a camping trip to Wells, ME, visiting my grandmother. It's an adorable little nature preserve tucked into a wetland. There are beautiful interpretive trails that really immerse you in the ecosystem of the wetlands and coast. The mushrooms growing there were positively magnificent. And it was just all around an enchanting space to be. I love forested coastal areas and it felt so serendipitous to find this one.
