Sometimes, if there isn't a climbing crag or a long multi-pitch route at the end of the hike I am doing, I can't help myself from thinking that I am walking to "nowhere." I struggle to find the point.
Am I too obsessed with climbing?
Am I missing the point?
I think you could benefit from some forest bathing, friend! Sometimes the point is just the way you feel when you're out there. When you slow down and really tap into the sensory experience of the outdoors, the goals all kind of fade away. Really focusing on the smell of the dirt and trees, the sensation of your body's weight being supported by the earth, the taste of sweat on your lips, it all reminds you that you're a part of that bigger ecosystem, and not just there to conquer it. That's just my hippy dippy two cents 😛
