Recently I've become quite enamored with the story of Julia Butterfly Hill, the activist who lived in a redwood tree to protest it being cut down. As our forests face continued threats from climate change and rolling back of environmental policies, I've been thinking more and more about ways to take a stand. I don't think I could do something quite so drastic, but it is inspiring. I have a deep love of photography and I find the photos of Julia Butterfly up in her tree so powerful and moving. I highly recommend checking them out.
