Two of my favorite sunset experiences were at Dead Horse Point in Utah and Cadillac Mountain in Maine. Both times I was traveling alone and sought out the sunset at the end of the trip. The sunsets themselves were obviously beautiful, but I also notice that something comes over me whenever I'm watching a spectacular sunset in a big group of people like that. It's so magical and connecting to be with so many strangers, all reveling in our smallness in the face of our primary life source. How special is that? Anytime I have an experience like that, I always end up leaving in tears at the wonder and beauty. Share your special sunset stories!
