Pro-softshell or Anti-softshell?

Going into the spring season means my softshell is coming out!

I used to be so against softshells. I don't even know why, I just felt like it wasn't a justifiable choice. I had enough other outerwear and midlayer options that it didn't feel like it had a place in my closet. That is...until I got one. LOL

Now it's one of my favorite all-around pieces, but it really shines during periods of unpredictable or fast-changing weather. If I'm on the move and working up a sweat, my softshell is my go-to!

Personally, I think they fill a sweet spot that nothing else quite touches—but I know not everyone’s sold. So where do you stand on these not-quite-a-jacket, not-quite-a-hoodie pieces?
