A really fun outdoor tradition I've gotten back into is letterboxing. It's something I learned as a Girl Scout and was obsessed with as a kid. I loved mysteries and adventure and it really played into that. If you're not familiar- it's very similar to geocaching, where you look in the woods for a little box filled with trinkets or a log book. However, with letterboxing, you don't follow coordinates, you follow clues. There's lively online communities that post clues and share finds. People will often come up with their own letterbox nickname and craft their own stamps to use in the logbooks. Now that I work for Girl Scouts, I've been designing a program where girls can come up with a nickname and stamp design, seek out a letterbox, then also hide their own. Have you ever gone letterboxing? What would your letterbox name be? What would your stamp look like?
I've never heard of this, but it sounds like so much fun!
Hmmm....I think my stamp would be a grizzly bear skull....name would be Mountain Laurel 🌼
I am going with Dusty. And my stamp would be the outline of a mountain 😊 😊
