Cherry Springs State Park in Northern Pennsylvania is a real treat if you get the chance to camp there. It's a Dark Sky park and a hub for astronomy studies. I camped there pre-COVID which feels like a long time ago. I remember us having to ensure we only used red light after dark so that everybody could enjoy the celestial show above us. Seeing the night sky so pristinely is something I will never forget. I felt so tiny and full of wonder on that camping trip. Everything there was so quiet and still and serene. I currently live in the Last Green Valley Natl Corridor which is known for its dark skies, but nothing will beat my experience at Cherry Springs. Have you ever been to Cherry Springs or another Dark Sky area?
Oh my gosh -whaaaat?! This is kinda blowing my mind! 🤯
I grew up in North Western PA, and I have never heard of this!! Looked it up, and it's not even very far from my childhood home. Thank you so much for this! I definitely see a family campout there in my future 😊
