When it comes to bouldering, I've always said, "every fall is a ground fall."
No matter how big or small, when you come off a boulder, you hit the ground. (And even if you're doing so in a controlled manner.) For me, this makes bouldering one of the most risky climbing disciplines. Coming in contact with the ground like that is physical, and eventually, something is going to get hurt. At the very least, something will be sore.
Am I exaggerating? How do you think of the risks associated with bouldering?
