Backpacking through Jordan was nothing short of an adventure, where every step felt like uncovering a piece of history and a new layer of beauty. Starting in Amman, I wandered through bustling markets, tasted local street food, and made my way to the Roman Theater, where the echoes of ancient crowds still seemed to linger.
After a quick stop at the Dead Sea, where I floated effortlessly on its salty surface, I headed south to the legendary Petra. Walking through the narrow Siq, I couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer scale of the Treasury, the rock-carved wonder that seemed like it belonged in a dream.
The real highlight came when I entered Wadi Rum, a vast desert landscape of towering sandstone mountains and endless sand dunes. I spent a night under the stars in a Bedouin camp, sharing stories around a fire as the desert wind whispered through the night.
Finally, I made my way to Aqaba, where I dove into the clear waters of the Red Sea, discovering colorful coral reefs and marine life beneath the surface. Every moment was a reminder that Jordan’s beauty isn’t just in its ruins—it’s in its people, its landscapes, and the journey itself.
