Fishing and Regulations

• NOAA Fisheries announced Inseason Action #31 for the recreational salmon fishery from Cape Falcon to Humbug Mountain, Oregon. Coho retention is allowed on September 20 and September 26, with a two-salmon daily bag limit and no fin clip requirement. From September 21 to 25 and September 27 through October 31, the season remains open for all salmon except coho, with a two-salmon daily bag limit. The Chinook minimum size is 24 inches.
• NOAA Fisheries announced a retention prohibition for other rockfish in the Aleutian Islands subarea of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area. The rule begins at noon Alaska local time on September 21, with an exception for certain hook-and-line, pot, and jig gear.
